The Bohemian Vegan

Yoga Anatomy Teacher, Yoga and Ayurveda Therapist, Trauma Energy Healer
Sun has been teaching Yoga and holistic therapies internationally since arriving in India for the first time in 2014. Passionate about Yoga Therapy, Ayurveda, and plant-based holistic medicine, as well as Vegan practices and lifestyle, Sun combines her training and her knowledge to help others with physical and emotional blockages.

With a combination of being an animal lover and seeker of knowledge, Sun has based herself in India since her first arrival. You will often find her throughout India surrounded by local animals she has rescued. When not in India, Sun continues to travel and share her knowledge as both a Yoga Anatomy Teacher, Yoga, and Ayurveda Therapist, Plant-Based Food Consultant, and Trauma Coach. Her mission in life is to reach and teach through spiritual and intuitive healing practices.
Due to simultaneous traumatic events in her childhood, that took more than 30 years to diagnose as Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Sun began her life with an obscure view on what was ‘normal’. Struggling most times to hide depression, or preventing anxiety from flaring during stressful times. Sun then struggled with borderline obesity, obsessive tendencies, and chronic health issues. This led her to further seek answers that Western Medicine was failing to answer.
After returning to study one of her childhood passions, Acting, which led her to also further study human behaviour. It was then she could see the knowledge she sought was not available in her home country, Australia.
Yoga brought Sun to India, but it was during her beautiful journey across the vast landscapes of India that Sun found the peace and wisdom that she longed for. Now based primarily in India Sun has had the luxury of all the ancient methods of healing to draw upon to further study and teach what she is now so passionate about bringing to others.
Based most of the year in Goa and Gokarna, Sun has developed a program that is aimed at bringing the philosophy and powerful healing tools of India's culture and history through travel, yoga, and Ayurveda.
Her journey in India has helped Sun transform her life, overcoming the chronic illnesses western medication failed her on. What she has discovered is that her mental and emotional well being has transformed from understanding the most vital connection of mind and body, from healing within.
Throughout her studies, Sun was awakened to how trauma affects the nervous system. It is now scientifically proven that trauma does stay rooted and trapped in the body. It is with that understanding that she has been able to work with clients to understand their own trauma, whether physical or mental, and they too have begun their own journey into finding the best versions of themselves.
Sun believes that India's beauty and its deep and ancient spiritualism should be a must for any solo traveler who also wants to seek the answers to a truly pure existence from within. The traveling retreats are a chance for her to assist others in unlocking their own potential, as well as being part of a small group of other like-minded people who would like to experience India in a safe environment.
